GROWING ORGANIC AT HOME
Kalikalé is an edible landscaping company, helping families set up their home vegetable gardens to promote organic eating and healthy outdoor activity. Starting January 1, 2020 Kalikalé will also be offering Illinois medical card holders home grown cannabis set ups to promote the cultivation of your own organically grown medicine. We're looking forward to helping Illinois eat and medicate ORGANICALLY!
"Beautiful greens and veggies grown in thoughtful and efficient ways." ~Cheryl, Oak Park
Our Raised Beds are the perfect way to grow the most fresh, organic & pesticide free vegetables for your family. Our Beds come in a variety of materials from natural cedar to recycled composite in various wood tones, and can be custom made in any design to achieve a beautiful landscape feature. Each of our Raised Beds Packages includes a seasonal crop planting of 5 different vegetables using organically grown seedlings, as well as the installation of a drip irrigation system to ensure the success of your crop.
Your greenhouse extends the growing season by creating a micro climate. That means you can grow food in the Chicago area for 7-8 months of the year instead of the 5-6 month normal window. The greenhouse provides multiple benefits: a larger overall yield of vegetables, an opportunity to get your own seedlings started, have stronger and more mature seedlings by the growing season, a beautiful structure that houses a plethora of plants and acts as a focal point in your garden.
Managing your flock and harvesting eggs year round is made easy with Kalikalé. We offer a complete package that includes everything you need to get started and manage a flock of 2-4 laying hens. We build custom elevated floors and give instruction on building a 'run', general maintenance, pest and predator control, and care. We are in strict compliance with local and state ordinances related to backyard chickens.
